On The Track With Pac Protocol Racing

We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner of Pac Protocol Racing and picking his brain on some of his favorite things going on in Zed as well as a few secrets to his stable strategy!

If you don’t know, Pac Protocol Racing is a stable that is sponsored by the actual Pac Protocol that you can find here! Their stable is home to over 23 horses, boasting over 200 wins across all classes, and one of the best breeders in the community. If you are not familiar with Pac Protocol Racing, be sure to look out for them on the track after this post!

Lets dive into the interview!

Q – What Is Your Stable Name?

Pac Protocol Racing

My stable name is Pac Protocol Racing!

I am sponsored by a top 300 coin PAC on Coinmarketcap, and my stable partner is George Tyler who is a co-founder of the PAC coin. In the market there are very few sponsored stables, so we feel very lucky to be not only included in Zed run, but to be representing a great project at the same time.

In general, the Pac protocol behind the coin is used by many companies and exchanges across the industry to manage and store data. Coin holders can also host masternodes for passive income!

PAC coin

You can learn more about them here for those curious!

The full backstory behind the sponsorship is:

After I bought Perfect Cadence, I knew I had a monster of a horse. Thus, I pitched the idea of Pac sponsoring the stable to George. It would give me a bit more financial backing to build what I needed to make an elite stable.

George is a man who has built million dollar companies. It only took him a few days to look over zed and quickly he saw its potential. He agreed to become partners and started helping with obtaining more horses to breed winners.

Q – When Did You Start Zed Run?

I got started in Zed run at the beginning of 2021. There was something about the platform and team behind it that made me think:

“Hey, this Zed Run thing has potential!”

After some brief research, (and I mean brief) I bought a couple of horses. As you can guess, I’m not too proud what happened next. Very quickly I ran them into the ground, winning only 2 of my first 100 races.

Afterward, I continued learning the game trying to absorb as much information from anyone who would talk to me about zed, but my success did not come without occasional failures.

Even now, I still feel that there is so much to learn on this platform. Due to this, I enjoy engaging with other people that I don’t regularly talk to in order to constantly learn more and better my stable!

Currently, I have a few horses ready to mate and I should be adding another 9 horses soon. I have come a long way since those first few donkeys.

Q – What Is Your Proudest Achievement In ZED?

My proudest achievement in Zed is honestly being part of this amazing community! It has opened up so many doors for me in my personal life.

Along this journey I have met a ton of great people associated with the project and helped countless new comers get started as well. I highly recommend anyone looking to dive into the project to just take the time to get involved with the

discord or reach out personally to me.

Q – What Is Your Primary Focus In ZED? Breeding, Racing, or Selling?

My primary focus is heavy on breeding.

I have a few Genesis horses with Nakamoto blood who have done a really great job making strong offspring who can race.

Most notably are my horses like Perfect Cadence (Z2 stallion), Black Honey (Z2 mare), Global Offer (Z2 mare), and Globe Sentry (Z2 stallion). These horses are my stable’s bread and butter.

I do enjoy racing though! I try to race every horse I own just incase I breed a champion.

Even though I have made plenty of Ethereum selling these great offspring, I haven’t taken any money out of zed. I’ve been constantly reinvesting my profits trying to build an elite stable month after month since I started.

Q – How Many Hours A Week Do You Dedicate To ZED?

Time On Zed

I usually eat up all my free time trying to see how I can improve my stable, sell a horse, join a race or get some mating done…

I have a lot of down time at work so if I had to guess I’m probably dedicating 6 hours a day to it. It is pretty much like my second job at this point, but I love every minute of it.

Q – What Is Your Favorite Horse You Own And Why Do You Love It?

Well right this second I’m loving Black Reign!

Zed Black Reign

As of 9/20/21 he broke the Zed World Record with 16 straight races where my horse came in 1st 2nd or 3rd in paid races!

This is basically unheard of till this point which makes me even more excited to continue to breed more champs.

Black Reign is a great example being an offspring from two of my Naks: Perfect Cadence and Black Honey. It seems they are soul mates because their offspring rarely disappoints.

Q – What Advice Would You Give To Someone Starting A ZED Stable Now?

My advice would be to put your head on the chopping block and buy a horse that you can start a stable with.

Either a strong Legendary horse or a winning Genesis horse.

If you buy a cheap unknown horse chances are you wont have a good time. Its very rare to get a horse that is cheap that is also going to help you build out a sustainable stable long-term.

Buy a horse that’s proven and something you can breed. Preferably a female so you have the option to sell the offspring or keep them to race!

Q – Who Is Someone In The ZED Community That You Respect And Try To Learn From?

Well, Danshan obviously.

I don’t think there’s a Zed head that puts more time and effort into this game than he does. Every time I have a question he is there to answer it.

I love bouncing ideas off of him and seeing what he thinks. It’s usually in line with what I’m trying to do and it reassures me I’m thinking the right things to improve my stable.

Over just this year, Danshan has become my favorite and most reliable person in the community to learn from hands down.

Q – What Are Your Thoughts About The Blood Tool And Why Did You Buy it?

Danshan Blood Tool

Well the story is Danshan, the Tool creator, used the tool to snipe one of my better horses when I tried to breed it.

I think I was waiting 20 days or so to breed this horse. My male had one more seed and he stole it lol… So i asked him how he did it and he explained to me the tools he had. Afterward, I decided that if I wanted to really be a player in this game I needed an edge that his tool provided.

The app gives me with an advantage on almost every aspect of the game from breeding to even recognizing which horses are more likely to succeed when bred. This tool really has so many use cases that people can leverage to get ahead.

I can’t explain ALL of it in detail because we like to keep it a secret.

Q – Where Will ZED Be 24 Months From Today?

I really see an entirely different game with more players, different variables and a lot more public interest.

Whether that interest comes via streaming or having scheduled races that you can gamble on, I certainly see the platform thriving. It’s going to get as close to owning a real stable as possible without having to pick up horse poop and feed them real carrots.

Q – If You Could Change One Thing About Zed What Would It Be And Why?

I would change the class system.

Class system

Too many horses fly up the ranks too fast and when they get to class 1 they die a slow death. Once there, they cant be raced because they don’t match up well with most of the class 1 horses.

The other change I would make is one day a week have only scheduled races. This way we could sit down and relax that day watching races and possibly throwing some Ethereum at our favorite horses in hopes to win more!

Q – What Is One Secret You Hate To Give Away But Will Tell Us About Your ZED Strategy?

I love racing griffin races (the first race a horse runs) and then waiting to see what the other horses around me do afterwards before I throw my horse into the fire with other races with stronger horses.

This technique allows me to get an idea of my horse’s worth without actually racing it. Afterward, I can either keep it to test out its racing ability myself or sell it in a timely manor.

Q – Any Last Comments?

The Zed community is why this platform has become so popular and why it will succeed. – Pac Protocol Racing

In addition, the Zed team does a tremendous job with addressing issues and making sure they listen to the players needs for the game.

A lot of game developers never listen to the players. They only keep pushing their ideas making the same mistakes over and over. Zed for sure takes into consideration what the players have to say about the game. I think the community and the team is the reason this game won’t fail.

We have too many good people doing great things for Zed.

Even people that don’t work for Zed are putting in their own time and resources to make Zed more player friendly with websites that tell you about your horse, its strengths and weaknesses in distance and speed. This blog is a great example of that already!

Q – How Can People Follow Your Zed Journey Or Contact You?
